peckenpaugh:
our show at LiveWire Lounge last Saturday was awesome. everything we could have hoped for in our first gig returning as The Cut-Outs, and then some.

as we unloaded our equipment into the bar, we had some concerns that the crappy cold rainy weather might keep some people away, and maybe it did, but we had a good crowd anyway.

i was amazed and encouraged by a wonderful bit of synchronicity. for all of 2011, our theme has been about The Cut-Outs cranking it up to 11, a bit of a nod to the film “This Is Spinal Tap” and its classic scene with Nigel Tufnel and his amp with a volume knob that goes up to 11. we even released “Modern Man” on Nigel Tufnel Day: 11/11/11. so it blew me away when, after our sound check, waiting to go on stage, i looked up at the TVs behind the bar and saw “This Is Spinal Tap” playing!

it was a blast being back on stage with The Cut-Outs. i love performing solo, but this is so much better. we don’t know yet when our next gig will be, but it will be soon and i can’t wait.

WE’RE BACK!!

Skid:
I never thought that I’d be part of the return of anything but last Saturday and our debut/return of The Cut-Outs was exactly like, “old times”, back on stage, play’n the drums, once again with some awesome bandmates and friends, and LiveWire Lounge was the perfect fit, we went to 11 and then some… glad we’re back and glad to be a part of it…
